Not So Everyday Ezra #65

Dear readers, from now on I will try to blog each week. In every blog there will be a story specially written by me for the blog. This week's story is called: THE FIRE.

Eliot woke to the smell of burning breakfast assuming that his mother had burnt it. He opened his eyes Eliot froze from terror as he saw yellow-orange flames engulf the carpet on the floor. Outside of his window his parents and a firetruck pulled up in front of his house. He already knew that they had come too late. The fire was nearing his bed. The firetruck had stopped and firefighters streamed out of the truck and into the burning house. The flames raced towards Eliot's bed and up his wooden bed frame. A firefighter broke through the door to Eliot's room but his sheets had already caught fire.
Eliot woke up in a blanket of cold sweat, he smelled the air and smelled cooking breakfast. To his relief it was not burning.

Besides the weekly story each month I will do a normal blog.

Not So Everyday Ezra #64

Dear readers, this will be my blog about summer break. I hope to blog again on the 30th of August.
This summer I went to day-camp for the first five weeks of summer, three weeks of camp at a farm and after that two weeks of karate camp.
At the farm I made a mud oven, a scarecrow and a water purifier. During the camp I did a course about medicinal plants. We made planters out of recycled materials. On the last day of camp we stayed at the farm overnight and I chose to stay up all night.
In karate camp we had a morning run every morning and between laps we did a workout. In the late morning played games and then had a martial arts lesson. One day we made nun-chucks (nunchacko)
another we did karate and judu.
Both camps were very fun but very different. Hope to blog again soon.

Everyday Ezra #63

Sorry readers that I haven't written in a very long time. Last off I told you about my adventures with Boaz and Gavi in Disneyland. In this blog I'll summarize what has happened in between now and then. After flying back from Disneyland it was time for me to return to Israel for the rest of the summer. When summer break was over it was time to go to school. School was normal, I entered a math contest and got a silver medal in it. Summer break came at last and it was time to go to Portland. In Portland I saw my friends and family, got taken on another adventure with Boaz and Gavi to Seattle and Great Wolf Lodge and had a great time there, went bouldering (a type of rock climbing) and flew back to Israel. I spent the rest of the summer in Israel  and went to the beach a lot. Eventually it was time to go back to school. Again I entered the same math contest got a bronze medal in it and started writing a book, and that is a summary of the last two years. I hope I can keep blogging throughout the summer.

Disneyland - Day 3

Everyday Ezra #62

These are the rides at California Adventure that I did not tell you about on Tuesday:

Monster's Inc., Muppet Vision 3D, Heimlich's Train, and Tuck N' Roll  (both from A Bug's Life),

We woke up in the morning on Day 3, at 6:30 as usual.  First we went to Disney Land, and did Story Canal Boats, which is like you are going through a miniature of several Disney movies.  After that we went to Nemo's Submarine, which is where you go into an actual submarine which is in water, and when it pretends to go down far with bubbles and it gets dark, even though you are only a foot under the surface.  In the submarine you see scenes from the movie and then you go out of the submiarine.

After that we went to California Adventure.  We did Grizzly River Run and Soaring Over California again.  Those were our favorites.  Then it was about time for lunch.  So we sat down to eat.

After that we went to Ariel's Undersea Adventure for the third time.  Then it was time for us to go back to Portland.   So we walked back to the hotel, and rode a van to the airport.

We arrived back to Portland at 8ish at night, got ready for bed and went to sleep.

It was a really fun trip.  And I'll never forget it.  THANK YOU BOAZ!!

California Adventure #62

That morning we woke up at the same time, 6:30am. We walked to Disneyland, but instead of going to Disneyland, we went to California Adventure. First we were planning to go to Radiator Springs Races (from Cars), but that ride was closed for the morning. So we went to Luigi's Flying Tires which is like airhockey but you are the puck. So everyone in the ride has to lean to move themselves, and there is a lot of bumping involved. After that we got a Fast Pass for Radiator Springs Races. Then we went to Grizzly River Run which is where you go through man-made rapids strapped in a circular raft. First you go up really high then the whole rest of the ride you are going down-hill through rapids. At some points you are going through a fake mine, a waterfall, geysers and then at the end you go through a pretty big drop.

Then we went to Toy Story Mania which is like a 3D aiming game where you are in a little car with two people on each side. They have guns, and then they aim at targets on a screen. After that we went to Soaring Over California which is like you are in a simulator flying over California landmarks. But you are raised up, so you feel like you are flying because your feet are dangling. While you are over the Redwoods and orange groves, you can actually smell them!

Then we went to Ariel's Undersea Adventure where you are going through some of the songs from the Little Mermaid. Next we went to the Play Parade with a lot of Pixar characters. After that we went back to the hotel for naps and to the water park.

When we went back to California Adventure, we went on Radiator Springs Races, Ariel's Undersea Adventure (again), and to the Sourdough Bread Factory. After those we went to sea A World of Color which is a water show and then they project parts of Disney and Pixar movies onto the water. For Pirates of the Caribbean they shot out flames! By the time A World of Color was done it was time for Disneyland fireworks, and time for us to go to bed.

Disneyland Adventure #61

We woke up at 6:30am. We got dressed, ate breakfast, and went to Disneyland. We got our tickets and waited until the gates opened. The first rides we went on were story rides, so what happens in the story, happens in the ride. When the gates opened, we went to the Peter Pan ride. In that ride you are on a boat and you fly over scenes from the movie. You see animatronic Captain Hook and Peter Pan fighting. The next ride we went to was Pinocchio's Adventures. Guess what that's like? Pinocchio's adventures. Next we went to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. After that Alice in Wonderland, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, and Haunted Mansion. Then we got a Fast Pass for Star Tours. After that we went on Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters. After that it was time for our Fast Pass, so we went to Star Tours which is a 4D movie. 4D is like being in a simulator while watching a movie in 3D. Then we went on Small World and watched a play called Mickey's Magical Map.

Then we went to a show called Jedi Training Academy. Kids were getting chosen to be trained to be a Jedi. There were two spots left, and then guess who were in those two spots? Gavi and me! We learned how to fight with a light saber, and then we fought against Darth Vader and Darth Maul.

After that we went to Tom Sawyer's Island and had lunch. Tom Sawyer's Island is like a pirate island. It is sort of disgusting because there are these things that you pull up and down to to lower the water level to get the treasure, but the treasure always has fake skeletons with it. That is the disgusting part.

Next we went to the Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Room, where the birds sing loud and the flowers bloom, in the Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Tiki-Room.

Then we did the Jungle Cruise. After that we went back to our hotel for a nap. After our nap we went to the hotel water park and then back to Disneyland for the evening.

We got a Fast Pass for Autopia, and went to a place where a guy reads a book and everything around you is a screen. The story was Peter Pan and every kid that came was a pirate, and we got to pull a canon. The guy reading the book gave us this ticket that was a Fast Pass that was good for almost any ride. So we used it for Splash Mountain, which would have been an 80 minute wait. Then we went on Autopia. Autopia is like you are driving a car, but if you mess up, it corrects it for you. After Autopia we went to Small World again. Then it was time for the fireworks display. After the fireworks we went back to the hotel to get ready for our next day at California Adventure.

Evening in LA #60

We flew to LA from Portland. Boaz's friend Scott picked us up from the airport. He took us to a kosher restaurant called the Milky Way which is Steven Spielberg's mom's restaurant. I ordered fish & chips. Gavi ordered cannelloni. Boaz ordered trout. Scott also ordered fish & chips. For dessert we got a slice of chocolate mousse pie and a slice of cheesecake.

Boaz got an app called Uber and ordered a cab for us. Uber shows you the name of your driver and his picture, and what car he is driving. First John was going to drive us. But suddenly, John couldn't drive us and Dennis was going to drive us. Dennis is from Honduras and he plays trumpet. Dennis drove us to our hotel in Anaheim.

When we arrived at our hotel we heard the Disneyland fireworks and were ready for our next day.
